In 1985 Ray Hillier and Tony Hill became aware that there was an area in the heart of England that was under served by the main Rolls-Royce and Bentley Dealer Network.

This area broadly encompassed the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire. Ray and Tony knew that there were an awful lot of Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners in this area as well as the headquarters of the RREC at Paulerspury. Given their vast experience on the cars as a consequence of their having served apprenticeships with Rolls-Royce Motors in London and having worked in main dealers and specialists in London and Beverly Hills, they felt that they could offer a more personal and approachable alternative to the traditional dealerships.

From humble beginnings in the village of Sherington near Newport Pagnell, they gained a loyal following and moved to the delightful market town of Olney in North Buckinghamshire as the business expanded. The business now occupies two units with a combined floor space of some 6,500 square feet.

Over the twenty five years they have been in business Ray and Tony have been joined by a skilled team of specialists and technicians who have helped produce prize winning restorations as well as providing high quality servicing and repairs.

Hillier Hill have also instigated their own apprenticeship programme which recognises that the demands of this business is specific, in that the advent of new technology has to be balanced with the sensitivity not to lose the critical traditional skills required to keep the older models running. This training scheme resulted in Chris Leath winning the inaugural apprenticeship award instigated by The Worshipful Company of Coach Makers and Coach Harness Makers in conjunction with the Roll-Royce and Bentley Specialists Association.

We continue to realise the importance of the cars we are privileged to work on and in recognition of this Ray Hillier has become more actively involved in the RRBSA and is on the Board of Directors.

The business has grown but our philosophy has remained the same – to provide a high quality service and to retain that personal touch. We hope you agree!
